Eligibility - New Construction
- New construction started after January 1, 1998
- 900 Square feet or more
- All forms of housing that are subject to property tax:
- Traditional "stick built" construction
- Modular Homes
- Manufactured Homes
Incentives - New Construction
- Property tax abatement, 100% abatement for 3 years on new construction
- Iowa Housing Trust $10,000 Down payment Grant
- One year free basic cable TV
Application procedure - New Construction
- Complete application at beginning of construction.
- Sign promissory note and receive loan proceeds at the completion of the basement/foundation.
